The paper AES.pdf illustrates a Matlab implementation of the Advanced Encryption Standard. The corresponding m-files can be found in AES.zip (unpack and run aes_demo.m). There is also an introductory paper in German, called "Der Schlüssel zu Matlab".
The strange skull-and-bird image was adapted from the original Rijndael site.
